Custom Water Resistant Tote Bags with Your Logo

Water resistant totes shed light rain and spills: coated polyester, laminated non-woven, PE-lined jute and welded synthetic bodies. This tag collects every style with a coating, lamination or liner that keeps moisture off the contents for a while.

Resistant, not proof

This is the distinction worth getting right before you promise anything. Water resistant means a coated face and a liner that shed water for a short exposure. The seams are stitched, and stitched seams let water through. A water resistant tote will keep a laptop dry between the car and the office in a shower. It will not keep gear dry in sustained rain, on a boat deck or in a bag left out overnight.

Genuinely waterproof means welded seams and no needle holes. There are a handful of those in the catalog and they are described as waterproof, not water resistant.

How the resistance is achieved

  • PU or PE coating on the inside face of a polyester fabric. The most common approach.
  • Lamination, a printed film bonded to a non-woven body. Wipe-clean and good for light rain.
  • A separate liner, as in insulated and jute bags, which stops moisture moving in either direction.

Coatings wear

A coating is a surface treatment and it abrades with use, particularly at fold lines and corners. A three-year-old coated tote is noticeably less resistant than a new one. That is normal, it is not a defect, and it is worth mentioning if the bag is part of a long-running program.
