Capacity means the base, not the width

A wide bag with a shallow gusset and an unreinforced base is not a large-capacity bag, it is a wide flat bag that will sag. Real capacity comes from a deep gusset, a boxed base and handles attached through reinforced points. When you are comparing jumbo styles, compare gusset depth and base construction rather than the headline width.

Handles carry the whole problem

The larger the bag, the more load goes through the handle attachment, and that is where large totes fail. Die-cut handles are unacceptable at this size. Look for sewn webbing that runs down the body panel and is bar-tacked or box-stitched at the ends, rather than a strap stitched to the top hem alone. Long shoulder handles also apply more leverage than short carry handles, so a shoulder-carry jumbo bag needs the stronger attachment of the two.

What it costs to ship

Large bags take carton space, and on a big quantity the freight line becomes material. This is doubly true for heavy canvas jumbo styles. If the order ships to a convention center, drayage is billed by weight and routinely surprises people. Ask us for carton dimensions and weight before you commit to a quantity.
