Sizing in liters, not cans
Hydro Flask quotes capacity in liters rather than can count, which is more precise but harder to picture.
- 8L to 10L is the lunch and single-day size. One meal, a drink, an ice pack.
- 20L is the everyday cooler: a day at the beach, a picnic for two, roughly a 20 to 24 can load with ice.
- 26L to 30L is the family and tailgate size, and heavy enough when full that the shoulder strap stops being optional.
Where the money goes
The premium on this line buys closed-cell insulation, a leakproof welded liner and hardware that survives being thrown in a car repeatedly. In practice that means better cold retention than a foil-lined promotional cooler of the same volume, and a bag that still looks presentable after a season. If the gift is going to a client or a top-performer award, that matters. If it is going to two thousand event attendees, it does not, and a non-woven cooler does the job for a fraction of the cost.
Decoration and the blank question
Decoration on this line is heat transfer and imprint rather than screen or embroidery, because the coated and welded fabric will not hold screen ink and a needle would compromise the liner.
