Custom Grocery & Shopping Totes with Your Logo

196 products · typical minimum 150 · 5–10 business days

Reusable grocery and shopping totes are the bags that leave the event and keep working, which is why they earn more impressions per dollar than almost anything else in promotional products. This range covers gusseted non-woven shoppers, laminated grocery bags, cotton market totes and insulated versions for cold items. The deciding factors are gusset depth, handle style and whether the base is reinforced.

Gusset depth decides what fits

A flat tote holds paper. A gusseted tote holds groceries. The gusset is the side and bottom panel that gives the bag its box shape, and on this range it typically runs from 5" to 10". A 10" gusset takes a standard paper grocery sack inside it, stands up on its own in a car trunk, and is what supermarket programs specify. Below about 5", the bag will carry a shop of soft goods but will sag with cans and bottles.

Handles: the part that fails first

Handles are where reusable bags die. Die-cut handles, punched straight through the body panel, are the cheapest and the weakest, and they tear at the corners under load. Sewn or heat-sealed webbing handles spread the load across a seam and last far longer. If the bag will actually be used for shopping, pay for reinforced webbing handles and a stitched or double-sealed base. The cheaper bag costs less and gets thrown away sooner, which defeats the point of the campaign.

Materials for this job

Non-woven polypropylene is the price leader and the default for supermarket and pharmacy programs. Laminated non-woven adds full-color print coverage and a wipe-clean face. Cotton and canvas market totes read as premium and last the longest but cost more and weigh more to ship.

Print area on a gusseted bag

A gusseted bag does not have one flat panel, so the usable imprint area is smaller than the bag's dimensions suggest. Screen printing stays on the front or back panel. Full-color lamination can wrap the gusset and base for an all-over design. The imprint area is listed in each product's Order details; check it rather than calculating it from the bag size.
