Packaging or carrier
A paper or jute bottle bag is packaging: it presents the bottle, it goes on a counter or under an arm, and it is not built to be carried across a city. A padded carrier with dividers and a shoulder strap is a bag someone will reuse. Both are here. Decide which job you are buying for before you compare prices.
Dividers matter more than padding
In a two-bottle carrier the failure mode is glass hitting glass. A center divider, even a simple cardboard or felt one, prevents that. A two-bottle bag without a divider is a two-bottle bag with a chipped neck in it, and it is the single most common complaint on this format.
Bottle sizes that catch people out
Standard 750 ml wine bottles fit everything here. The ones to check are champagne and sparkling bottles, which are both taller and wider at the base; Burgundy shapes with sloping shoulders; and growlers, which are short and very wide. If the gift is a specific bottle, measure it against the bag's internal dimensions rather than trusting a bottle count.
Shipping
None of these are shipping containers: a tote is not rated to protect glass in a carrier's network, and shipping wine has its own licensing rules in most US states. These bags are for handing over in person or carrying to an event.
